During the summer months, group tours are offered for travellers, aviation enthusiasts and anyone interested in learning more about the airport. Visitors are given the opportunity to gain deeper insights into airport operations.
At Innsbruck Airport, we combine these group tours with the opportunity to engage in social responsibility. Each year, the proceeds from the tours are donated in full to a social organisation in Tyrol – this time, Autistenhilfe Tirol was selected. Airport Managing Director Marco Pernetta was delighted to present a donation cheque of EUR 1,500 to the chairwoman of the association, Susanne Windisch, and expressed his appreciation for the valuable work carried out by the organisation.
Autistenhilfe Tirol was founded in 2001 by a committed group of parents and professionals. The association serves as an interest group for people with autism, their relatives and professionals working in the autism spectrum field. Its activities include training courses, counselling and education, as well as networking meetings and low-threshold support for parents wishing to exchange experiences. In Tyrol, an estimated 8,000 people are affected by autism spectrum conditions.
