Press Release – 24 September 2025

Innsbruck Airport presents a strong winter flight programme for the 2025/26 season. New to the schedule is the route to Düsseldorf, which will be operated by German airline partner Eurowings from mid-December.
Connections to the United Kingdom will also be further expanded – a clear signal of Tyrol’s importance in international winter tourism.

A total of 24 European cities in 13 countries are included in Innsbruck Airport’s extensive winter flight programme for the 2025/26 season. A particular highlight is the addition of a new destination: Düsseldorf will join the route network, served by Eurowings, a long-standing airline partner of the airport.

From 12 December 2025, Eurowings will connect Innsbruck with the Rhine metropolis twice weekly, on Fridays and Sundays. “We are very pleased to further expand our cooperation with Eurowings in the northern German market,” emphasises Airport Managing Director Marco Pernetta. In addition to the new Düsseldorf service, the connection to Hamburg will continue with five weekly flights.

Strong presence of British airlines

The United Kingdom remains a key market for Tyrolean winter tourism. Several flight frequencies will be increased in the upcoming season:

  • easyJet is expanding its service to Birmingham, offering direct flights every Wednesday and Sunday from mid-December.

  • British Airways is increasing its London services: on Mondays, two flights will operate from Gatwick, along with one flight to Heathrow. In addition, an extra Gatwick flight day has been added.

  • New weekly services operated by easyJet to Edinburgh and Manchester will complement the programme from early December.

New flight times on the Madrid route and changes to the Brussels service

The route to Madrid, introduced last winter and operated by Spanish airline Iberia, will once again be served twice weekly. Optimised flight times for the upcoming season will make Madrid even more attractive as an international huband connecting airport.

Through tour operator partner TUI Austria, flights to the Canary Islands and Mallorca via Madrid will be bookable in the coming winter season. In the Belgian market, TUI fly Belgium will newly operate the direct connection to Brussels, complementing the existing service provided by Austrian Airlines. From mid-December, TUI fly Belgium will offer two weekly flights, operating on Mondays and Fridays.

Connections to international hubs

In the 2025/26 winter season, Innsbruck Airport will be connected to five major international hubs:

  • Vienna (Austrian Airlines) – up to three times daily

  • London Heathrow (British Airways) – six times per week

  • Amsterdam (transavia / KLM) – up to four times daily

  • Madrid (Iberia) – twice weekly

  • Düsseldorf (Eurowings) – twice weekly

These hub connections provide convenient onward connections to destinations worldwide and further strengthen Tyrol’s international accessibility.
