Starting 12 April 2026, the Dutch airline transavia, a wholly owned subsidiary of KLM, will add a third weekly flight between Innsbruck and Amsterdam for the entire summer schedule. From 29 June to 23 August 2026, an additional fourth weekly connection will be offered. This expansion will significantly increase capacity on the Innsbruck–Amsterdam route. Innsbruck Airport expects several thousand additional passengers on this route.

Airport Managing Director Marco Pernetta emphasizes: “We hope that the new connections will be well received. Strong demand can form the basis for a further, gradual expansion of flight services in the coming years.”

Strong development in recent years
The Netherlands, and Amsterdam in particular, rank among the top three destinations at Innsbruck Airport. As a result, transavia has developed into one of the airport’s strongest airlines in terms of passenger volume.

Doubling the summer flight offering reflects the high and continuously growing demand and provides important momentum for tourism and business in Tirol.
For travelers, the expanded schedule means greater flexibility and convenient connections to the global SkyTeam network. Even today, many transavia passengers use Amsterdam Schiphol as a hub for onward travel. Last year alone, nearly 5,000 passengers from Innsbruck transferred there to international connections.
