Starting January 11, the Airport Express FX will operate as a direct connection between the airport and the main train station. This special line runs only on Sundays at 20-minute intervals and is available exclusively during the winter season (until March 29, 2026 inclusive).

“With this new service, we’re making it easier for air travelers to switch directly and conveniently to the public transport network,” says IVB Managing Director Ekkehard Allinger-Csollich. Airport CEO Marco Pernetta adds: “The new Airport Express FX represents a significant quality improvement for our international passengers during peak season.” Mayor Johannes Anzengruber is also proud: “After Vienna’s CAT, our state capital now has a modern and fast connection to the airport.”

The new line operates non-stop between 08:10 and 19:43 from and to the main train station. The fare is €6.90 for one adult with up to two children under 15 years. Tickets are available online in the IVB ticket shop.
